Hi. I am a New Jersey Mom and Grandma, (G-ma for short). Welcome to my rocking chair. This chair has a lot of mileage on it, after three kids, five grandkids, and hours of reading, reflecting, and just watching the world go by out my window.
I am a person who loves having a project to work on; and being retired affords me lots of time for family, friends, gardening, hobbies, and spending time in my yard keeping an eye on neighborhood bunnies and birds. I love exploring craft fairs and antique stores and spending time on the Maine seashore.
I am a convert to the Catholic faith who has been singing in one choir or another since I was 8 years old, and I still have all the sheet music to prove it! That makes me sound like a hoarder, but I prefer the term collector.
I also love writing reflections based on Scripture, and I am really happy that my daughter set up this blog space so that I can share them with you. I have tried to use the Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition of the Bible for all Scripture quotes, but you may find, if you check the pop-up boxes, that the wording is different. That is because many of these reflections were originally written using the New American Bible and, in some cases, I just liked that wording better. I also put a “KEEP READING” section at the bottom of the page so you can explore the Psalms and Gospel chapters that these quotes come from. When it comes to discovering wisdom in Scripture, there is always more, so much more. KEEP READING!
